Anime DVD/BD Sales in Japan

Oof, shows like Yurucamp and Yorimoi probably just missed this week. Which means we never get their wk2 data either, thanks to the really high thresholds last week… this new “no full ranking leaks” era absolutely sucks. We’re back to the week you happened to come out having a potentially very significant effect on how much you can average. I guess we can hope we still get the Newtype monthly reports, which should fill in decent sellers like those two up to wk3 or 4 usually, at least on BD. But those may have been posted by the same person who quit…

Spring update:
Amanchu s2 v1 adds 263, total 2,588.

 
Winter update:
Emiya-san Chi v1 sells 6971/1040, total 8,011. 2.3% under/6.3% overestimated.

Evergarden v3 sells 5761/597, total 6,358.

Idolish7 v4 adds 290/252, total 15,804.

Yurucamp v2 adds 269 BDs, total 13,080.

VEG v2 adds 247 BDs, total 7,255.

Darlifra v2 adds 328 BDs, total 5,398.

CCS Clear Card v2 adds 386 BDs, total 4,562.

citrus v3 adds 362 BDs, total 1,142, meaning it sold 780 last week. Rather surprisingly, it gets a wk2. That’s extra important because due to high thresholds it didn’t rank wk1 at all. This lets us fill in the wk1 numbers. This is the kind of thing that we need when we’re missing the full lists – getting lucky with rankings the next week filling in a missing previous week. It isn’t going to happen very often, unfortunately.

 
Past seasons:
Granblue v1 adds 288 DVDs, total 63,814.
v2 adds 293 DVDs, total 50,952.
v3 adds 296 DVDs, total 48,296.
v4 adds 314 DVDs, total 46,859.
v5 adds 306 DVDs, total 46,005.
v6 adds 321 DVDs, total 52,743.
v7, final volume, adds 367 DVDs, total 59,498. Series average: 52,595. And that does it, it passes Fate/Zero and secures #10 since 2000. Even though Ive said this multiple times before, this should be where it stops as it’s another 3,533 (24,731 total discs) to get to #9. That would take another 12 weeks at ~300 per disc per week. Who knows though…
Honestly, considering that we don’t get full lists anymore and every ranking spotis that much more precious… Granblue taking so many spots each week is kinda irritating. At least it’s on the DVD charts, where the full rankings wouldn’t add anything anyway I guess, but we’re definitely gonna miss out on little bits of data for other shows.

LL Sunshine s2 v6 adds 1693, total 35,311.

Imas SideM v6 adds 742/296, total 11,620.

Yuyuyu s2 v2, final volume, adds 480, total 8,333. Series average: 7,463.

Mahoyome v3 adds 490, total 5,994.

Blend S v6, final volume, adds 331 BDs, total 4,461. Series average: 3,167.
