Yes, that’s v1 of a Fall series coming out. The Net-juu release is weird as hell.
Pretty longish legs on the Granblues, get your gold bars people. I do wonder what is taking them so long to announce a sequel anime.
Though I kind of wish they had gone the Puzzle & Dragons/Monster Strike route and just done a fairly continuous anime.
From what I’ve seen, the Granblue anime is of pretty high production quality. That would be hard to maintain over a long period of time. Also would hit diminishing returns of profitability, no doubt…
I certainly do have to imagine a sequel is in the works tho, yeah. They need to strike while the mobage is still hot.
and just as you were both saying the announced a couple of days ago a new anime thats being in work probably the 2nd season, even though it doesnt say that but they journey in the 1st season hasnt ended so cant imagine it would be anythin else then a 2nd season that would continue the story
Here’s hoping…but we have seen cases where more anime eventually meant things like Luck & Logic -> Hina Logic.
I didn’t watch Granblue because they went with a male MC but I’d totally watch a HinaLogi-style spinoff, even knowing almost nothing about the characters.
Of course it would make no sense for them to do something like this! An actual sequel is by far the most likely thing, though I’d put ~30-40% odds on it being a movie, given current industry trends (unless they’ve already said something to the contrary).
was hoping Tenshi no 3P could sell bit more but aight guess 2k is fine too, though i thought it would grab more attention due the lolis+music combo
Yes shows willing to go this distance deserve the sales lol. A decent number of supports showed up strong thankfully.
Do we have a week 1+2 comparison of Symphogear GX and AXZ so far?
GX was 19,707 in wk2.
>all those series that sold badly even with event tickets
I guess Nana didn’t will them. Seriously though it seems event tickets are becoming more and more of a hit and miss now: so many series having them where the ticket barely had any effect.
Aldo, late reply, but very sad to see RokuAka sell so poorly. It deserved better.
That’s how it’s always been. Only a small minority of event tickets have a really noticeable effect. They just tend to be the ones that, well, get noticed. Over the last two years or so I’d say more v1s had event tickets than not, though I don’t track that data specifically. Most events are just small gatherings with seiyuu meet-and-greet and maybe a few skits or some talks from the creative team. Major concerts draw the biggest interest, unsurprisingly, and those are the ones that get all the attention. And since most shows sell so few discs to begin with, even if an event bumps sales by, say, 30% that often just means 1k, or less.
I know. I guess ideally all shows would want to have concerts, but that would just be too expensive and probably not worth the effort.
As for RokuAka, I really don’t understand why it sold so poorly. It had Konomi Suzuki, Akane Fujita, Ari Ozawa, cute and likable characters, a rather interesting plot, and most importantly those uniforms.
Beyond the cost of putting on a concert, most shows simply don’t have the sort of material or big names to do such a thing. Very few female seiyuu draw a crowd, and while male seiyuu have better luck there, unless there’s a lot of really memorable vocal music in your series there’s nothing for them to sing. It’s mostly an option for music-focused series, or series that are able to put together a strong group of popular seiyuu into a musical group that gains popularity even beyond the context of the anime.
i guess we won’t be getting another season of classroom of the elite
Full list posted.
It hit me now, wasn’t volume 6 of Granblue supposed to come out in September? I haven’t seen it in the ranking last week.
Vol.6 was delayed to end of October
Oh, ok then, thanks.
you didn’t include Youkoso Jitsuryoku Shijou
Fixed.
