Strong unit sales for Crowds, if you ignore the super cheap price. But good either way considering it already had a sequel announced and therefore must have met its other goals. Magi, well… yeah. Sales attrition has been especially unkind to that one.
And Nagiasu continues its super crazy comeback.
Fall update:
Magi s2 v1 sells 1512/2565, total 4,077. And yes this has an event ticket. When s1 did that it sold 16.6k total.
Teekyuu s3 sells 2,169 in a one shot release.
Yowapedal v2 sells 2749/3014, total 5,763. Up 1.5% on v1wk1 but this one has an event ticket as well. Next vol has a drama CD.
Valvrave 2nd v2 sells 3019/1064, total 4,083. DVDs rank this time since it’s not coming out during Christmas week.
Walkure v2 sells 1,326 BDs, DVDs do not rank.
Golden Time v2 sells 757 BDs, DVDs do not rank.
Gingitsune v2 sells 571 BDs, DVDs do not rank.
Samumenco v2 sells 281 BDs, DVDs do not rank. v1 didn’t rank at all, so… yeah.
Coppelion v3 sells 277 BDs, DVDs do not rank. Same deal as Samumenco except this took 3 vols to rank.
Non Non v1 adds 236 BDs, total 10,398 in wk5. Nyanpasu~!
Kill La Kill v1 adds 312 BDs, total 9,727. Just a little more to 10k.
Kyoukai v1 adds 276 BDs, total 6,524.
NagiAsu v1 adds 613 BDs, total 2,914 in wk6. Remember this started at 1,144! It could easily triple its first week sales. Sure 3k isn’t much but, wow.
Outbreak Co v1 adds 231 BDs, total 1,715.
Yozakura v2 adds 216 BDs, total 2,217.
Summer update:
Gatchaman Crowds box sells 5572/930 ,total 6,502. Definitely solid unit sales for a show nobody expeted much in the way of sales for at first, though at only ¥15,540 for the DVD box and ¥19,740 for the BD box, it was at least 2x cheaper than most other one cour anime so it’s really more like selling somewhere around 3k or so. Even that isn’t bad tho, considering they already announced a sequel.
Monogatari v4 sells 32963/3915, total 36,878. Down only 1.1% from pt1 of this arc so it should end up pretty close again like the two Tsubasa Tiger volumes.
v2 adds 220 BDs, total 45,624 in wk9, meaning it added 386 in wks7-8.
v3 adds 1488 BDs, total 42,039 on the next vol bump.
Ser x Ser v6 sells 1877/751, total 2,628.
KimiMachi v5 sells 1370/1590, total 2,960.
GinSaji v5 sells 1090/701, total 1,791.
Fantasista v5 sells 799 BDs, DVDs do not rank.
Gen’ei v5 sells 496 BDs, DVDs do not rank.
InuHasa v5 sells 368 BDs, DVDs do not rank.
Free! v5 adds 403 BDs, total 24,761, just 0.81% below v4. If v6 can sell the same it’ll end around 28.6k average.

MajePri v8, final volume, sells 2888/449, total 3,337. Possibly BDs will rank once more but current series average is: 3,600.
Crime Edge v7, final volume, sells 240 BDs, DVDs do not rank. Final average: 295. That can’t feel good.
Shingeki v5 adds 251 BDs, total 42,874 in wk 10.
v6 adds 398 BDs, total 49,136 in wk 6. 50k in a couple more weeks I assume.
v7 adds 2592/1560, total 35,627.
OreImo. v7 adds 245 BDs, total 14,716 in wk5, meaning it added 194 in wk4.

Teekyuu3 shows no signs of dropping season after season. The 12th episode hints at season four in dialogue while the 2nd bonus episode puts it in writing on screen. Season 4 still has no official greenlight announcement but with those sales for 21 minutes of new material in a cheap package it makes good money on top of manga sales.
Kabuki consistent as well. Monogatari franchise still pulling well on disc sales. Good to see they are doing major fixups on the discs as well. Final results are beautiful.
Speaking of major I hear the last episode of Gatchaman Crowds was almost completely redone on Bluray.
Why the collapse of Magi, do the fans not even care for the event even, kind of shocking.
In any event, I hope MJPR franchise at least continues with those sales and everything else around the franchise.
Magi anime doesn’t follow the manga much so manga fans dropped it fast. I recall there were “quality” issues people got pissed at too. S1 probably had the worst first to last vol drop in the BD era. And plus, it isn’t that good of an anime imo. A real shame, it really had promise, maybe a different/better director could have made it better.

Kabuki v1 got the expected 1.5K bump from people buying it along with v2 this week.
Some real ouchy 2nd volumes for series that were already hurting, Golden Time down to 757. Gingitsune v2 571. They likely won’t get 2nd weeks either so that is it… or could be even lower in future volumes.
Low threshold so Coppellion finally ranked anyway… 277.
And Flamenco v2 got 281.
And Crime Edge 7 got 240 which I will actually be getting since they finally decided to include an OST CD and there is an ED I need which is also the ED of episode 13, and disc 7 is just one episode so it is cheap so I am getting it as a keepsake.
2nd week for YozaQuar v2 at #99
And… my copy of Crime Edge v7 has shipped so there! At least 241 copies LOL

For example Strike The Blood is ahead of High School DxD on Feb 2nd but if you look back on pre-release day and release day (Jan 28th-29th) in particular, but also ever other day before the 2nd, DxD was higher and will almost certainly sell more in the weekly list.
