Just big wk2s almost across the board this week. Some combination of holidays or when paychecks fall or something or other. Or perhaps last week was suppressed for some reason.
Fall update:
DreamFes v1 sells 455/350, total 805. 55.8/97.7% underestimated.
Nanbaka v1 sells 200/343, total 543. 25.2/7.0% underestimated.
Regalia v2 sells 304 BDs, DVDs do not rank.
www.Working v1 adds 430/316, total 6,417.
Summer update:
B-Project v4 sells 2617/2906, total 5,523.
Amanchu v3 sells 2,274 as a BD-only release. Well, uh, it’s up 3 discs on v2 at least…
91Days v2 sells 553/345, total 898.
LL Sunshine v1 adds 575, total 82,880 in wk10, meaning it added 179 in wk9.
v2 adds 712, total 59,674. Second ticket app window closed, small bump on last week.
v3 adds 7600, total 30,849. A very abnormally large wk2 proportionally, even by this series’ standards, for some reason. Or, a suppressed wk1. Second ticket app window closing for v1-2 probably doesn’t explain v3.
Tsukiuta v3 adds 1032/646, total 6,724. Up 18% on v2 now with one less week ranking. This one may come from behind to pass New Game and Mob Psycho for #3 of the season unless v3 is just being bumped by some extra.
New Game! v3 adds 853 BDs, total 5,444. Double the wk2 of previous vols.
Masou Gakuen v3 adds 643 BDs, total 3,588.
Dangan Ronpa 3 v3 adds 586 BDs, total 3,297.
Prisma Illya s4 adds 698 BDs, total 2,948.
Servamp v3 adds 318/395, total 2,414.
Past seasons:
Re:Zero v6 adds 1423/240, total 9,163. Biggest wk2 since v1. Boosts its 10k chances, albeit still only in yearly lists.
Delta v5 adds 990/250, total 7,867.
Haifuri v6, final volume, adds 558 BDs, total 7,212.
Jojo pt 4 v6 adds 527/219, total 7,198.
Stray Dogs v6 adds 723/1010, total 5,346. Series average: 5,215.
OVAs, Movies, Boxsets etc:
Zaregoto v2 sells 12603/2435, total 15,038. Not much of a drop from 16.2k v1wk1.
v1 adds 333 BDs, total 21,104.
Tenchi OVA4 v1 sells 5,113 BDs.
Garo Divine Flame Movie sells 816/115 BDs, 196 LE DVDs, total 1,127.
Milky Holmes Movie sells 789 as a BD-only release.
Strike The Blood II OVA adds 719 BDs, total 8,945.
G Gundam BD Box v2 adds 330, total 3,525.

Most likely stock issues at Animate or some other major retailer, because it was definitely in stock the whole week at Amazon JP.
DreamFes is the new worst performing guy idol anime?Sad as I really love Traffic Signal.
This very strong second week for Re:Zero surprises me a lot considering how more frontloaded later volumes usually are.
To be honest I expected volume 6 to merely break the 9k mark by the time the yearlies come out and the volume average counts but this here changes everything.
I’m actually really confident volume 6 will make the 10k in the yearlies and if the following volumes manage to get above 9k we might actually look at another candidate for a 10k+ average this year.
Volume 7’s stalker estimates seem to already follow suit to volume 6’s 7k and might even be higher considering that IIRC volume 7 has a big extra again.
Re:Zero keeping our hopes for a 10k average 3rd week should probably add another 200~300 so that it reaches 9,5k as previous few volumes did :)
sry, but what is with gochiusa ova?
There’s an OVA coming out in April 2017… are you referring to that? The only recent Gochiusa release is a BD for the Rabbit House Live Party 2016 live event. It came out last week. It may rank on BD (likely not DVD) a second time in the full list later in the week.
In regards to the Biz leak for this week, there some additional posts of missed data from that thread on the Chinese forum: http://tieba.baidu.com/p/4888498001.

Would you be willing to do a post with sales projections for the BD/DVDs of the current season shows before they go on sale? I am interested to see what everything is projected to be and how it pans out on a weekly basis. I am seriously curious for a few shows that I enjoy but I would love some context because I would not like it if a show I like does badly. I would like to temper my expectations.
You can check the latest Stalker estimates from time to time on a site like this: http://rederoin.motionsforum.com/t393-autumn-2016-v2
But I might put something together with my guesses. Everyone starts with Amazon Ranking Stalker as the base (see Section 4 of the FAQ) and from there it’s just a matter of tweaking the estimates based on experience and understanding of Stalker’s shortcomings.
Sometimes you know Stalker’s estimate will be too high, sometimes you know it’ll be too low, and that’s all just based on watching sales for a long time and getting a feel for when it’s typically off.
That awkward moment when Yuri on Ice’s current estimate is already higher than its final predicted estimate last week. Being in the top 5 for a couple days really does wonders. In all seriousness though, the way predictions can change on a dime can make them fun to track but also kind of unreliable. Though it would be cool to look back and see how things have changed since the beginning of a season.
**almost higher. I can’t count apparently.
Put together a post with the estimations and some comments here: https://www.someanithing.com/5902
The full list is out: http://pastebin.com/aX98BBmL
But I just got home, I’m tired, and watching Flip Flappers is way more important than posting anime sales so, uh, I’ll do the full post tomorrow.
That was a good FliFla episode too, you will be rewarded for your hard work yesterday lol.
A damn good episode. And damn good is the only kind of episode FliFla knows how to make, thankfully.
Full ranking will go up tonight (not that there was anything exceptionally interesting in it).
Forgot to comment hours ago, but full ranking is posted.
I’ll check the per-series ranking and ranking summary for the past three weeks tomorrow.
I think Yuri!!! on Ice is dark horse of this season. What estimate for Vol.1 now? It seem more and more popular since first on-air.May be this serie will climb up to top seller of male series.
There’s no way it’ll beat Love Live Sunshine, will it?
Unless it’s as big as Osomatsu-san, then it’s unlikely it’ll beat LLSS.
Will it really outperform utapri? :(
Thing is, it’s been beating UtaPri for weeks now at Animate.
That and what with UtaPri’s CD Single Sales falling, YOI might actually beat it. The Animate estimate is….I don’t know now big it is lol, but if it’s as big as I think it is, and if the Amazon version really is that popular, it might get 40k week.
Of course, I’m grateful for the for the fact that it’s not bombing like ChiaDan! or say 91 Days and reaching 20k itself would be a great achievement especislly nowadays, so I’m already happy.
By “male series” I assume you mean shows with mostly-male casts. And if so, its only competition there is Utapri. And the odds of it outselling Utapri keep increasing. It’s been beating Utapri at Animate almost without exception since the last week of October, and generally beating it big-time. Like, all of the BD volumes and sometimes two different versions of v1 ahead of even Utapri v1. But the main reason it might beat Utapri is that Utapri may be underperforming compared to the last two seasons.
My opinion on all this is still that Utapri v1 will probably beat YOI v1 but I’m not as confident of that as before. But YOI’s non-ticket volumes have a good chance of beating Utapri’s non-ticket volumes, so it’ll really just be a question of by how much, and whether that offsets any deficit from the event ticket gap.
Haikyuu ought to easily be a safe 10K performer next week.
Nanbaka sales are just plain sad. People dont like cute sparkly prisoners and guards :( and also one of the catchiest ops of the season.
Just realized no Nanoha Vivid wk2s, even though all three versions did rank twice according to Oricon. Boo, I bet all three weren’t too far below the top 100 threshold. At the very least it’s clearly over 5k if wk1 was 4,881 and three different versions got a wk2.
Pretty disappointed not to get the number tho. Times like these I really miss the extended rankings. Odds of it making the per-series ranking next week are low unfortunately so I don’t see us being able to fill it in.
Hi guys any know where i found a similar site like this but for hentai anime?
I don’t think hentai disc sales ever get released. Oricon must have a no-porn policy, because I’ve never ever seen one rank.
Hi. Thank you for the list. From the full-list link: http://pastebin.com/aX98BBmL
I saw top 20 from 21/11 to 27/11 there is Mob Psycho 100 sell 4264 copies while the last week the vol3 of MP100 sell only 4045 copies and you didn’t update anything for Mob’s previous vols. So why there is difference? Sorry for my English. Thank you very much.
During the week of Nov 21-27 the series sold 4264 units. We know that 4045 of those were v3wk1. That leaves 219 units, so yes there’s discs unaccounted for. The problem is: we don’t know which volume or format those discs were from. It could be a mix of v1 DVD, v1 BD, v2 DVD, and v2 BD. But we don’t know where to put the extra sales.
I only incorporate per-series ranking additions when I can unambiguously assign them to a specific release, or at least a specific volume. This usually means it’s only useful while there’s one or two volumes of a show out. Once you hit 3+ volumes, you can no longer tell which volume the additions are for.
New Game! had the exact same problem that week: 4740 sold, 4591 of which are v3wk1, leaving 149 discs orphaned. And we can say the same for most of the other series on the list. The per-series ranking has only very limited utility.
The same goes for Masou Gakuen HxH, don’t know if the extra 99 copies sold that week were from Vol 1 or 2.
