Winter update:
KanoNeko sells 1521/230, total 1,751. 16/76% overestimated. One-shot release. Four episodes in late March so it falls under end of winter, I guess.
PSO2A v3 sells 1526/340 BDs, 344/1549 DVDs, total 3,759. Up 27% from v2. This series seems to be entirely driven by extras.
Grimgar v3 sells 2960/406, total 3,366.
Dagashi Kashi v3 sells 1225/153, total 1,378.
Active Raid v2 sells 1,468 BDs, DVDs do not rank.
Fall update:
Haikyuu!! s2 v5 sells 5933/4922, total 10,855.
Yuru Yuri s3 v6, final volume, sells 2323/1090 BDs, 247 DVDs, total 3,660. The special LE BD came with a Chinatsu nendoroid. Series average: 3,906. If we had the extended rankings, it would probably get to 4k, but without them this is probably it. The last BD being split across rwo versions + big week next week means basically no chance of wk2. I hate not having the extendeds. ;_;
Dandevil v6, final volume, sells 693/576, total 1,269. Series average: 1,801.
Osomatsu-san v1 adds 207 DVDs, total 112,821.
v2 adds 167 DVDs, total 83,890.
v3 adds 203 DVDs, total 65,695.
v4 adds 376/548, total 58,146.
Owarimonogatari v5, final volume, adds 204 BDs, total 26,284. Series average: 27,436.
Gochiusa s2 v5 adds 210 BDs, total 10,537. 1.1k ahead of s1’s average with one volume left.
Past seasons:

Geass Akito v5, final volume, adds 201 BDs, total 22,136. Series average: 29,061.
Tamayura Movie 4 adds 199 BDs, total 3,539. The films didn’t sell much but they were consistent: 3,654 > 3,927 > 3,665 > 3,539. Last one will miss 100-200 discs from not geting any extended ranking weeks. 3.7k average.

It’s Garupan time.
The Girs und Panzer movie finally hits on Friday, data next Tuesday.
The Stalker estimate is almost certainly broken, but right now its week one estimate is 198,830 with two days to go. If it holds #1 LE and #2 Amazon LE until release, that estimate might break 200k.
I refuse to set expectations higher than 150k wk1 and based on how heavily overestimated the series has been in the past, it could be as low as 120k.
But it’s never continuously dominated Animate at #1 nearly every day before (or even done particularly well there; the OVA couldn’t even get top 50 its last month) like the movie has… so this could be something new for it.
Yeah it’s been ranking high in the other shops as well. That, plus the overwhelming reception the movie had might give Stalker a bit more of accuracy but 200K still sounds insane. Hopefully it doesn’t suffer from stock issues…
202,297 first week sales by Love Live! Movie is the number to beat. Can it pull off another surprise? Bandai Visual sure knows how to pick them though, lol.
No matter how well it’s doing at Animate, I can’t see Garupan being /under/estimated, which it’d need to be to top 200k. That would be an unbelievably huge reversal from its massive Amazon bias so far, all the more so because its Amazon ranking and thus estimate is so impossibly high (like >60k higher than LL).
Not that I don’t want it to be underestimated, but I won’t get my hopes up.
Hai to Gensou no Grimgar sales looks not that bad
It’s decent. Will be well above the median and roughly near the average for all series in a given year. Certainly beats most of this dismal winter.
I really wanna how the spring season destroys the winter season by to be honest.
It’s… not looking too impressive, honestly. It’ll be better than Winter, but Winter will actually have a better top-selling show (Koyomimonogatari) than anything in Spring, unless Kabaneri breaks out. Delta has been performing rather disappointingly so far. Even the event ticket is only holding it around 50, and given how the music sells I thought an event would have been a much bigger deal. Kabaneri actually has an overall stronger ticket boost, somehow (roughly similar ranking but also has its other BD edition ranking 100-150, while Delta’s other is 500+). Jojo always had about a 10k ceiling so it’ll do well but can’t be a break-out hit. Nothing else looks poised to get anywhere near 10k.
I don’t see anything with a shot at 20k, not even sure if there will be a 15k. Again, Kabaneri is the wild card but even right now, with the estimate boosted a bit by being in the middle of an event ticket announcement bump, the v1 estimate is only 11.5k and it’s not destroying B&M or anything.
So Winter will have a 20k+ and a 10k, while Spring might have two 10-15ks and a 8-10k? Obviously more matters than just the top shows but the mid-range of Spring is not clear yet.
hi, how is re zero doing? :)
4.5k estimate at the moment. It picked up about two weeks ago and has been doing decently since, although it’s still far from being a hit. It at least showed that people are paying attention, so it has potential to make a late break like Konosuba did last season.
what about Bungou stray dogs? Wont it be popular with the fujioshi crowd..
and also boku no hero? Does it even need sales?(since its a jump title).
It and Joker game are doing decently at Animate, and underestimation is likely. The current estimate on Stalker is 3,481, which could mean a 5k vol 1.
That’s with an event ticket, though. The estimate for v2 drops to 1,273 so it could see a pretty fierce event ticket drop.
By ‘It’ you mean both Bungou and Hero academia? I though hero academia might do worse(Disc Sales) considering its a Jump Title.
And for Joker Game do you think those are good numbers for it? Its really good…Are you following it?
How much do you think all the three would average out?
Oh by it I mean Bungou Stray Dogs. Maybe like… 3k avg or so? Guessing an average before a single disc is out (and v1 being an event ticket disc) is pretty impossible.
Heroaca is going to follow a Nanatai pattern at best, and probably less. The estimate is a bit over 3k for an event ticket volume and it’ll probably be underestimated, but I don’t expect it to reach a 5k average. Maybe a good deal less.
Joker Game I have no idea because it’s a box release and has modest success at Animate so I don’t take the Stalker estimate too seriously.
It would’ve been nice to see more shows do well this season, especially since there were a number of originals, but then again the top 2 shows appear to be originals (Macross and Kabaneri), so maybe that’s already something of a victory for original shows.
I’m already intrigued by Summer, which interestingly has a number of adaptations that I am personally intrigued by. The bar from Winter and Spring this year doesn’t seem to have been set particularly high, so it’ll be interesting to see if Summer can surpass them. Obviously Love Live is there, and I’m curious to see how some other potential wild cards do. Qualidea Code, ReLIFE, Orange, Taboo-Tattoo, and Alderamin are particularly interesting to me. If we see another season with only 1 or 2 shows breaking 10k (Love Live and something else presumably?) and not many shows in the high thousands, perhaps 2016 becomes more indicative of a trend than just a dip?
Still no full list up on urisure. If anyone grabbed the txt file off 2ch, could you pass it along?
I found the data on a Chinese website:
http://tieba.doclone.com/p/4572975721
Try it in Google Cache if it doesn’t load, as it didn’t load for me normally.
Thanks, cache worked. Gonna work on the post now.
I will post it on urisure later for the benefit of others looking for it there, if it hasn’t still been posted when I wake up.
I Want to know how is HUNDRED doing?
1,327 v1 estimate with an event ticket, so it’s looking pretty dead.
Full ranking posted, thanks to Ejc for finding it.
