Winter update:
Pop Team Epic v1 sells 3680/594, total 4,274. 11.9% under/26.3% overestimated. I don’t see an event ticket tho it is 4 episodes for the price of 2 (but with the “mostly repeat at the half” gimmick, I can kinda see why they priced it like a 2 ep disc).

Fall update:
UQ Holder sells 833 as a BD-only one-shot box. Series average: 833.

Just Because v2 sells 1807/248, total 2,055. Almost exactly matched the 1806/248 of v1.

Juuni Taisen v2 sells 725/593, total 1,318.

DreFes s2 v3 sells 431 BDs, DVDs do not rank.

Imas SideM v2 adds 1214/545, total 15,534.

Osomatsu-san s2 v2 adds 1026/1289, total 12,026.

Deremas Gekijou s2 v3, final volume, adds 579 BDs, total 7,519. Series average: 8,575.

Imosae v1 adds 293, total 1,947.

Past seasons:
Symphogear s4 v5 sells 8682/921, total 9,603.

Saekano s2 v6, final volume, sells 6823/746, total 7,569.
v1 adds 431 BDs, total 11,688.
v2 adds 512 BDs, total 8,510.
v3 adds 574 BDs, total 8,337.
v4 adds 726 BDs, total 7,904.
v5 adds 865 BDs, total 7,870.
Series average: 8,646. Down on the 10.5k of s1 but for this year, it counts as a good drop. I’m assuming this is one of those “Aniplex+ shop shipping all volumes at once” bumps again, but it’s been a long time since I’ve seen one of these happen in a noticeable way. Interesting to see it show up here.

Tenshi no 3P v5 sells 976 BDs, DVDs do not rank.

Gamers v5 sells 878 BDs, DVDs do not rank.

Granblue v1 adds 220 DVDs, total 59,933.
v5 adds 223 DVDs, total 41,858.
v6 adds 272 DVDs, total 47,062.
v7, final volume, adds 338 DVDs, total 50,211. Series average: 47,406.

LL Sunshine s2 v2 adds 7368, total 42,002.

Pripri v5 adds 547 BDs, total 5,870. It has a shot at a 6k average but the last volume will need to drop almost not at all from v5. It’s also missing at least 700 discs from v4’s total due to the depressed sales seen for all releases during xmas week, and then not getting a wk2 due to us only getting a Top 50 that week, for some reason.

Blend S v2 adds 336 BDs, total 3,668.

New Game s2 v5 adds 377 BDs, total 3,545.

OVAs, Movies, Boxsets etc:
Prisma Illya Sekkai no Chikai sells 10716/986 BDs, 1258 DVDs, total 12,960.

Fafner Exodus BD Box sells 3,085. Contains both seasons.

Mahouka Hoshi wo Yobu Shoujo adds 1870/534 BDs, 536/556 DVDs, total 34,439.

Oofuri BD Box adds 257, total 3,000. Contains seasons 1-2.

Yamasusu OVA adds 345, total 2,134.

  1. something something says:

It sure got late fast, need to stop partway and get to work now. Will finish this tonight.

  2. Mami Kawada Lover says:

    >UQ Holder sells 833 as a BD-only one-shot box. Series average: 833.
Given the manga’s heritage, this seems like a disappointment.

    • Johnson says:

Similar to the first series, the anime was a bad adaptation so its not really a surprise. They skipped around 2/3 or more of what was out of the manga to end where they did.

  3. Tuna says:

Those Mahouka Koukou sales, there is still much love for the best onii-sama.

I like how GBF just keeps on appearing. Other game adaptations should take note.

  4. VanGosroth says:

Feels good to see Illya where she rightfully belongs.

  5. something something says:

    Done the prelim post now.

  6. Tiago says:

Saekano did really well all things considered.

    Quite Happy about it

  7. Liver says:

Emiya so stronk! Poor Illya, his brother is more popular.
And I’m happy Popteamepic did pretty good, it’s not funny at all, it’s just really anime for seiyuufans. And it seems they’ll have EVA seiyuus next episode yay.

    • Shinseira says:

      It’s a movie though?

      • something something says:

Yeah I mean, these aren’t outright *bad* numbers but there’s nothing impressive about them either.

      • Liver says:

And who said it isn’t though?
I bought the BD myself, I just love the movie than the series so I’m happy it sold better than the TV series. It’s my first BD from TM series (I loveeeeeeee DDD far more than Fate/Tsukihime/KnK). And I’m not even saying it’s impressive number or anything lol, Emiya is just stronk, one of the best chuuni self insert ;)

  8. Shinseira says:

Kind of surprised Mahouka didn’t have the same legs as SAO or Index.

    • something something says:

It’s just that SAO started at ~125k and Mahouka at ~30k so even a higher proportion of sales is a much lower absolute number. And Mahouka’s wk2 is technically higher in relative terms:

      SAO’s wk2 was 7.2% of its wk1 total.
Mahouka’s wk2 was 9.6% of its wk1 total. If RE BDs tack on another ~250 in the full list, bump that to 10.4%.

Due to reporting thresholds, Mahouka won’t rank as many weeks as SAO tho, naturally.

  9. something something says:

    Updated with the full list.

  10. Luchael says:

Wow, Gintama is just a shadow of its former self sales-wise. I wonder how much further it will drop when Silver Soul’s release comes out.

Saekano recovers quite nicely. Less than 2k drop with two years of break is pretty good these days. If only Kekkai Sensen could achieve the same…
