See Full-year per-Volume and per-Series Total charts from Oricon for the 2015 Full-year ranking.

I’d originally posted these as comments but ought to go ahead with a full post.

2016 Mid-Year Ranking by Series
http://katsu.ula.cc/test/read.cgi/piropiro320jp/1432224768/390
This covers the week of 2015/12/14 (12/28付) through the week of 2016/06/06 (06/20付).

Disclaimer from last time: “This one is quite the pain to use, because it seems to count data from below the Top 300 cutoff, which would also count any small sales from RE versions. There is simply no way it could be correct otherwise, because the averages it implies directly contradict the extended rankings. Also as before, I’ve settled on calculating a batch adjustment at the series level, and adding that to the total average. I will not try to spread these discs out across individual volumes, as that would end any hope of tracking them reliably via the extended rankings. Even as a one-time adjustment, it can be very tricky if not downright impossible to calculate this 100% accurately for titles that span both 2014 and 2015 so I’m not claiming this is on the nose right down to the last disc. But it should be pretty close.”

If you’re wondering where Osomatsu-san and the Garupan movie are, they aren’t here because we already have more current data from the weekly ranking than from this mid-year ranking, given that the latter stops a few weeks ago.

TV Series

141,707 Owarimonogatari
• Previously known sales: 138,157 = 138,157 v1-5
• Addition: 3,550
• Average: 27,631 → 28,341

80,940 Haikyuu!! Second Season
• Previously known sales: 77,575 = 77,575 v1-5
• Addition: 3,365
• Average: 14,937 → 15,311

77,578 Gochuumon wa Usagi Desu ka??
• Previously known sales: 73,856 = 73,856 v1-6
• Addition: 3,722
• Average: 12,309 → 12,930

60,282 One Punch Man
• Previously known sales: 55,677 = 55,677 v1-6
• Addition: 1,797
• Average: 9,280 → 10,047
• Note: New 10k title for 2015.

60,272 Kidou Senshi Gundam Tekketsu no Orphans
• Previously known sales: 56,767 = 56,767 v1-6
• Addition: 3,505
• Average: 9,039 → 9,429

45,201 THE IDOLM@STER Cinderella Girls (standalone only)
• Previously known sales: see below
• Addition: 5,952
• Average: 29,668 → 30,329
• Note: 89,666 discs as of 2015 full-year list. 45,201 more in 2016 mid-year. 134,867 total. I think we need to subtract the 2015 sales of the fandisc, so minus 2,305 for wk6+ of that. 132,562 total sales. Known sales to date, 122,251 + 4,359 from the previous adjustment = 126,610. 132,562 – 126,610 = 5,952 added (total adjustment with 2015 = 10,311). Maybe one day we’ll get wk2+ data for the G4U as well.

44,038 Soukyuu no Fafner Exodus season 2
• Previously known sales: 38,682 = 38,682 v1-6
• Addition: 5,356
• Average: 6,447 → 7,340
• Note: Note that this does not separate the two seasons, but the last disc of season one released in August 2015 so any season one sales in 2016 should be minimal.

42,846 Gintama°
• Previously known sales: 35,211 = 35,211 v6-11
• Addition: 7,635
• Average: 6,294 → 7,566
• Note: A very unusually large jump but it specifically lists 銀魂° rather than all of Gintama and I don’t see any live events or anything in in Oricon’s database that could have slipped in.

42,783 Starmyu
• Previously known sales: 40,317 = 40,317 v1-6
• Addition: 2,466
• Average: 6,720 → 7,131

39,464 Overlord
• Previously known sales: 34,537 = 434 v3wk4-5 + 34,103 v4-6
• Addition: 4,927
• Average: 11,872 → 12,693

35,284 Senki Zesshou Symphogear GX
• Previously known sales: 31,531 = 246 v3wk4-5 + 31,285 v4-6
• Addition: 3,753
• Average: 13,603 → 14,229

34,569 Kono Subarashii Sekai ni Shukufuku wo!
• Previously known sales: 32,772 = 32,772 v1-3
• Addition: 1,797
• Average: 10,164 → 10,523

30,393 Charlotte
• Previously known sales: 27,008 = 227 v3wk4 + 26,781 v4-7
• Addition: 3,385
• Average: 7,245 → 7,728

26,188 Yuru Yuri San Hai!
• Previously known sales: 23,433 = 23,433 v1-6
• Addition: 2,755
• Average: 3,906 → 4,365
• Note: Nice to see this make the list. I really did not expect that. Most of this data should be wk2+ for v5-6, so that’s great. San Hai’s release timing was very fortunate. v1wk1 was at the start of the period, and v6 came out with enough time to spare to let this ranking catch wk2+. It slotted into the reporting period perfectly.

Movies
236,252 Love Live! The School Idol Movie
• Previously known sales: 233,446 = 221,950 LE + 11,496 RE v1-6
• Addition: 2,806
• Note: LE accounts for 2,107 additions, RE for 699

27,564 Persona 3 #3 Falling Down
• Previously known sales: 25,960 = 21,537 LE BD + 631 RE BD + 3,495 LE DVD + 297 RE DVD
• Addition: 1,604
• Note: LE BD accounts for 184 additions, while the other three formats combined account for 1,420.

I think there’s a mistake, the previously known sales for Overlord are 71,231 not 34,537 according to this: http://www.someanithing.com/3059

      Note the dates:
      13,495 2015/09/25
      12,202 2015/10/28
      11,431 2015/11/25
      11,552 2015/12/25
      11,189 2016/01/27
      11,362 2016/02/24

That covers all of its volumes. This list covers sales between “the week of 2015/12/14 (12/28付) through the week of 2016/06/06 (06/20付).”, so the first half of 2016.

It’s the mid-year list, so it’s complete as of June.

The full year list will be coming out soon. So far there’s a Top 100, I’m waiting for the full Top 300.
