Really going to be feeling the lack of extended rankings this week. =(

Winter update:
Phantom World v3 sells 1588/310, total 1,898.

Konosuba v3 adds 1266 BDs, total 9,425. As BDs go it was 1.1k down on v2wk1 but this is .6k higher than v2wk2 so that beings the drop to a much more reasonable amount. Now I feel a little more confident in it averaging 10k. Just two volumes to go.

Gate s2 v3 adds 271 BDs, total 4,843.

Fall update:
Gochiusa s2 v6, final volume, sells 7594/1154, total 8,748.
v5 adds 280 BDs, total 10,974 in wk6, meaning it added 157 in wk5. Series average: 12,005, and should end around 12.2k even without the extended rankings, assuming v6 adds a bit over 1k in wk2+. An increase over s1’s 11,404 amazingly enough.

Shomin Sample v6, final volume, sells 647/187, total 834 BDs, DVDs do not rank. Series average: 991.

Osomatsu-san v1 adds 149 DVDs, total 113,189 in wk19, meaning it added 219 in wk18.
v3 adds 164 DVDs, total 66,128 in wk11, meaning it added 269 DVDs in wk10.
v4 adds 311 DVDs, total 59,507.
v5 adds 3640/4405, total 49,438.

Haikyuu!! s2 v5 adds 237/195, total 13,092.

One Punch man v6, final volume, adds 519/323, total 8,118. Series average: 9,236.

G Tekketsu v5 adds 555 BDs, total 7,322.

Fafner Exodus s2 v6, final volume, adds 363 BDs, total 6,303. Series average: 6,424.

Starmyu v6, final volume, adds 320/234, total 4,814. Series average: 6,720.

DiaLovers s2 v3 adds 443, total 1,957.

Past seasons:
Gintama° v11 adds 349/370, total 6,398.

OVAs, Movies, Boxsets etc:
Higurashi s1 BD Box sells 1,760.
s2 BD Box sells 1,666. This is a considerable jump from the 786 and 723 the 2014 BD boxes sold… but the MSRP for these sets is also ¥9k which is, holy shit, NBC Universal is practically giving them away. Of course with such a low price, it’s a lot less total gross revenue than the original boxes. [Edit: Okay so it’s a SD collection on a single BD. How odd.]

Dangan Ronpa BD Box sells 224.

Garupan Movie adds 13336/1134 BDs, 1952 DVDs, total 195,895. 16.4k wk2 is solid, that’s 9.15% of wk1 sales. Could cross 200k as early as next week.
OVA adds 909 BDs, total 62,585.
v1 re-re-release adds 650 BDs, total 10,848.
v2 re-re-release adds 614 BDs, total 9,758.
v3 re-re-release adds 594 BDs, total 9,308.
v4 re-re-release adds 588 BDs, total 8,465.
v5 re-re-release adds 592 BDs, total 8,619.
v6 re-re-release adds 604 BDs, total 8,620. Bigger increases than last week. Re-release average: 9,270. Total with original: 45,556.

Strike Witches OVA v1 adds 630 BDs, total 24,054. Still adding discs from that Amazon fire sale. I wonder how overproduced this OVA was…

Doukyuusei adds 788/605, total 19,623. 20k next week.

  1. MUGI says:

Already mentioned this on twitter, but it should be worth noting that the new Higurashi BD boxes are actually single disc collections of the episodes in SD quality as opposed to the original boxes being multi-disc sets in HD. Which explains why they’re so dirt cheap compared to the ones that came before.

It’s a bizarro rerelease strategy I guess to promote the anime’s 10th anniversary that I don’t think I’ve ever seen done before.

  2. makotachi says:

So I’m curious, why is this season of Dialovers selling so much better than last season? Is it still only available at Animate or is it now being distributed at other stores too? I mean, I’m okay with this because I weirdly enjoyed Dialovers. I just remember season 1 not really selling anything.

Happy to see Doukyuusei selling more and awesome for the GUP movie to sell so much!

    • something something says:

Dialovers s1 wasn’t reported by Oricon at all, so even though Animate is covered by Oricon, that release was not, for who knows what reason. I suppose it just never got into their database due to the limited distribution.

s2 is getting a standard release (including Amazon and all that) so it’s reported normally. I assume the Animate version counts this time as well[?].

So it’s possible or even likely season one sold more than season two, but we have no way to know for sure.

  3. GoldenCatch says:

What is your prediction for Kiznaiver sales?

    • something something says:

I haven’t noticed it doing anything ranking-wise outside of Amazon so I’m inclined to just go with the ~1.5k Stalker estimate. Depends in part on whether it makes the DVD thresholds or not. This is the event ticket volume too, so without the extended rankings anymore I won’t be surprised if it averages barely 1k.

  4. Painn says:

I really do hope kiznaiver sells well. Even though it’s not gonna sell like Kabaneri or delta. I will still be buying it though.

  5. something something says:

    Full ranking posted.

And yep I hate the lack of extended rankings. I was worried Yuru Yuri s3 v6 wouldn’t get a week two due to no extendeds + split BD editions and what do you know… blah.

Edit: Wait, Yuru Yuri’s missed wk2 was last week. Well, same exact comment applies, just a week late!

  6. Painn says:

Do you have a link where people can see the stalker estimates?
